GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Information Technology Services division is in search of a highly motivated individual with expertise in Salesforce system and application administration, design, and systems analysis to join the dynamic and collaborative Application Services section. This role entails performing systems administration work involving maintaining the configuration, operation, and reliability of a Salesforce org, as well as responding to incidents and processing service requests and tasks. As a valued team member, this individual will contribute to the development and maintenance of Salesforce applications by actively participating within agile teams, communicating effectively with users, and occasionally administering meetings and presentations. Responds to incident and problem calls, and process service requests and tasks.
Administers and maintains Salesforce platform and applications.
Prepares and maintains operating procedures for technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and innovative systems administration techniques.
Performs related work as assigned.
Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions.
Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule.
Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information.
Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity.Systems Administrator II and#8211; All of the above functions for a Systems Administrator I, PLUSAnalyzes usersand#8217; needs; designs, develops, and tests software to meet those needs
Analyzes, reviews, and revises software to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new procedures.
Compiles and documents procedures used throughout software development and revision.Systems Administrator III and#8211; All of the above functions for a System Administrator II, PLUSMaintains application data integrity by using appropriate software solutions along with implementing a schedule of backups for data archiving.
Configures automation routines using scripting and other programming languages.
Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
Prepares and executes software test plans.
Performs research and analysis required for project proposals, software and systems modifications, and new projects.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSystems Administrator I:Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience: One year of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: system administration, application support or othertechnical support roles; may substitute thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Knowledge of systems administration; the principles, practices, and techniques of agile software development and systems analysis; computer software configuration and troubleshooting; and computer operations procedures and systems.
Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues; to analyze systems and procedures; to use network management, administration, and other system administration tools; and to communicate effectively.
Skill in effective oral and written communication.
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making.

Experience with administration and maintenance of the following within the Salesforce platform: Classic apps, Lightning apps, Communities, Sharing Settings, Approval Processes, Workflows, Process Builder, Flows, Dashboards, Reports.
Experience with OwnBackup or similar Salesforce data protection and backup solution.
Experience with Git or similar source code version control system.
Experience with Copado or similar CI/CD tool for code validation, promotion, and deployment within a pipeline.
Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator; Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder; Certified Scrum Developer.
